Hawaii Homebuyers Fair: Everything You Need To Know About Buying A Home In Hawaii

Event Will Include Realtors, Mortgage Reps, Developers, Builders and More

HONOLULU – The Honolulu Star-Advertiser and Sunetric are sponsoring the Hawaii Homebuyers Fair to provide the public an opportunity to meet and learn from real estate industry professionals from bankers to builders, attend a first-time homebuyers workshop and learn about affordable homes and master-planned housing communities across Oahu.

This free event takes place Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hawaii Convention Center (1801 Kalakaua Ave.). The first 500 people to preregister online at hawaiihomebuyersfair.com will receive free parking validation at the Fair. There also will be a drawing for a free trip for two to Las Vegas, sponsored by Vacations Hawaii.

“The Hawaii housing market is hot right now and a lot of people are wondering if it’s a good time to buy, sell, install solar or just fix up their place,” said Dennis Francis, Honolulu Star-Advertiser President and Publisher. “We’re bringing together experts from across the real estate, construction, mortgage and building industries who will take the mystery out of buying or selling a house. It’s really an amazing collection of Island talent that will be able to answer any real estate, building or financing question that can be imagined.”

Along with more than 20 vendors, the event will feature workshops and seminars including:

Master Planned Communities, hosted by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and featuring developers such as Howard Hughes Corp. and DR Horton-Schuler Homes
Affordable Homes for Sale, hosted by the Star-Advertiser and featuring developers such as Stanford Carr and Savio Realty

Attendees will be able to meet professionals from real estate firms, mortgage companies and nonprofit financial assistance programs, as well as specialists in home loans, insurance, construction, windows, solar, pest control, and renovation and home improvement.
