Oahu Publications Launches Hilton Hawaiian Village and HIlton Waikoloa Village Signature magazines

HONOLULU - Oahu Publications will be launching two signature in-room magazines in January and February 2013 - Aloha Hilton Hawaiian Village for Oahu and Aloha Hilton Waikoloa Village for the Big Island.

“It is very exciting to re-imagine and introduce two unique magazines for Hilton’s popular and distinct properties,” said Linda Woo, publisher of Oahu Publications’ magazine division. “We look forward to working with Hilton staff to ensure Aloha Hilton Hawaiian Village and Aloha Hilton Waikoloa Village are a valued resource, providing their guests and visitors with insight to both properties, as well as useful information on shopping, dining, and activities, along with history and culture.”

“Both the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and Hilton Waikoloa Village have a wealth of history and stories that are yet to be told,” Woo said. “The Hilton Hawaiian Village has employees who have been with the resort since it opened in 1957. The Hilton Waikoloa Village, located on the Big Island’s Kohala Coast, has a tremendous connection to the area’s Hawaiian mythology and culture.”

Aloha Hilton Hawaiian Village and Aloha Hilton Waikoloa Village in-room magazines will benefit each resort’s numerous shops, restaurants and activities.

Oahu Publications’ magazine division includes Waikiki Magazine, HILuxury, Halekulani Living, Fairmont Luana, Hilton Ola Grand Waikikian Life, Go Kailua, 101 Things to Do, Ahahui Koa Anuenue (AKA), Ko Olina Resort Magazine and the Disney Aulani Resort Magazine.

Three magazines published by the Oahu Publications’ magazine division have won publishing awards this year:

• Hawaii Publishers Association – First Place for “Visitor Publication Photography” awarded to Halekulani Living Magazine.

• Hawaii Publishers Association – First Place for “Visitor Publication Excellence (distribution under 500,000 a year)” awarded to Ko Olina Resort Magazine.

• Western Publishing Association – First Place Maggie Award for “Lifestyles & Alternative Lifestyles/Consumer Magazine” awarded to HILuxury.
