McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii Adds New Jalapeño Cheddar and Cheddar Onion McChicken Sandwiches

HONOLULU – Beginning August 30, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii is offering two exciting new takes on the classic McChicken. Customers who love the crispy chicken sandwich can now upgrade their experience with two bold new flavors at $1.99 each for a limited time only.

Both new flavors start with the same tasty McChicken patty topped with shredded lettuce, followed by two choices of flavorful ingredients:

Jalapeño Cheddar: Spicy jalapeño salsa with white cheddar cheese

Cheddar Onion: Savory grilled onions with white cheddar cheese

“The Jalapeño Cheddar and Cheddar Onion toppings add a delicious flavor kick, creating a whole new dimension to the McChicken,” said Melanie Okazaki, regional marketing manager of McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. “We hope our customers will try these exciting add-ons.”

For those who prefer their McChicken just the way it’s always been, the sandwich will continue to be available on the Dollar Menu without the new toppings.
