First Insurance Company Recognized Among Nation’s Top 50 Property and Casualty Companies for Third Year
HONOLULU – Good things come in threes. For the third consecutive year, First Insurance Company of Hawaii has been named one of the nation’s top 50 property and casualty insurance companies – an honor that puts it in the top 2 percent of all insurance companies nationwide. Each year, the Ward Group, which specializes in insurance company benchmarking, analyzes more than 3,100 property and casualty companies domiciled in the United States and lists the top companies as the “Ward’s 50.”
“Our consistent inclusion in the Ward’s 50 list speaks to more than just the financial stability of our company. It shows our policyholders that our associates and independent agency partners work tirelessly to earn their continued trust,” said Allen Uyeda, First Insurance president and CEO. “We are proud to make the Ward’s 50 once again, particularly during this special year, as we celebrate our 100th anniversary of doing business in Hawaii.”
The Ward’s 50 list recognizes companies that have achieved superior performance over a five-year period (2006 to 2010) in the areas of safety, consistency and performance. The Ward Group has been ranking insurance companies since 1991.
