dck/TtEC LLC Wins Two NAVFAC Projects at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — dck/TtEC LLC, a joint venture of dck worldwide and Tetra Tech EC, Inc., has been awarded two task orders at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona, under its previously awarded Global Multiple Award Construction (GMAC) contract with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). Both task orders involve construction to support the new Joint Strike Fighter F-35 aircraft. Groundbreaking on both projects is scheduled for this week, and the work on both projects is to be completed by September 2012.

The first task order is a project to construct utilities and communications infrastructure improvements at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. In addition to the utility upgrades, the scope of work includes construction of a communication facility and communication infrastructure (data and telephone) upgrade to support fielding of the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 aircraft and its revised flight operations. This project will be built to Special Access Program Facility standards to provide a secure communication facility that will house new communications and server equipment.

The second is a task order for construction of aircraft maintenance hangars at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. This new construction will consist of new aircraft maintenance hangars, aircraft taxiway and parking apron, and the necessary components to the hangars to make them compliant for the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 aircraft.
