First Insurance Company Giving Away 100 Free Centennial T-shirts in Online Contest
HONOLULU – First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd. (FICOH) is giving 100 lucky people a chance to own a piece of history. To mark its first 100 years of doing business in Hawaii this year, Hawaii’s oldest insurance company is giving away 100 centennial T-shirts to Hawaii residents in an online contest that starts today.
The white shirt’s design is a re-interpretation of a brochure cover design from the 1930s that FICOH discovered in its archives. The tree in the design is a Royal Poinciana tree, which is the inspiration for the company’s logo.
To enter the drawing, contestants must visit www.ficoh.com/centennial and fill out a short entry form. Only one entry per person will be accepted, and entrants must be at least 18 years old and Hawaii residents to enter.
The deadline to enter the drawing is Friday, June 10. After that, 100 names will be drawn at random from all valid entries.
First Insurance is also promoting the free T-shirt giveaway to its fans on Twitter (@FirstInsHI) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/FirstInsHI).
Other centennial-related activities this year include a cookbook featuring employee-submitted recipes and a company gala at Iolani Palace in August. And to celebrate the 100 years it has been in business, company associates have committed to giving back to Hawaii’s people, charities and nonprofit organizations in 100 different ways throughout 2011.
