Kyo-ya and Starwood launch electric car network
HONOLULU – Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts today issued the following statement regarding the celebration and blessing of electric cars and five chargers that will be housed at the Sheraton Waikiki, which is owned by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts and managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
“The new electric cars and chargers at the Sheraton Waikiki are just the latest in a series of long-term investments we’re making to remain competitive with the world’s top travel destinations,” said Ernest Nishizaki, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts, which owns The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort; Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa; Sheraton Princess Kaiulani; Sheraton Waikiki and Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. “As Kyo-ya moves forward with its $1 billion reinvestment in our Waikiki hotels, we are pleased to help Hawaii transform into a worldwide model of clean energy independence and sustainability. We’re proud to be the first in Hawaii’s visitor industry to participate in this electric car charging network.”
