First Insurance Company of Hawaii to Help Drivers Save on Gas for a Day
Wednesday, March 30, 2011
HONOLULU – Oahu drivers will be given a special chance to save on gas when First Insurance Company of Hawaii ”takes over” the 76 gas station on Piikoi and King streets on Saturday, April 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.
During the “takeover,” MidPac Petroleum will dramatically lower the price of all grades of gas at their Makiki 76 station. Saturday morning, customers are encouraged to follow First Insurance on Twitter (at @FirstInsHI) and Facebook (at www.facebook.com/FirstInsHI), where the “secret” price will be revealed.
In addition to savings on gas, First Insurance will have volunteers on hand to wash windows and pass out fliers that show drivers how to get a First Insurance auto insurance quote and a free $20 76 gas gift card, plus a vintage car and “street performers” dressed in vintage costumes that call to mind First Insurance’s new auto insurance television ad campaign. Staff from 76 will also be at the pumps to let people know about its Kamaaina Rewards program, and the neighboring 7-Eleven on Piikoi Street will be holding store specials during the two-hour event.
“This event is a way for us to share our excitement about our new auto insurance product, while providing customers with some much-needed relief from the rising price of gas,” said Allen Uyeda, president and CEO of First Insurance. “We invite Hawaii drivers to visit us at the Makiki 76 station this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.!”
Earlier this month, First Insurance launched a new way for Hawaii drivers to purchase their auto insurance, as well as new, lower rates that can save customers up to hundreds of dollars. Now, customers can get a free quote and purchase their auto insurance policies at www.ficoh.com, or by calling FICOH at (808) 527-7722 to speak to a sales adviser. Customers can also get a quote and purchase a First Insurance auto policy through their local independent insurance agent. Through May 8, new customers who get a personal auto quote from First Insurance also receive a $20 gas gift card from 76. (Restrictions apply; please visit www.ficoh.com for complete offer details.)
